Payment

 Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Visa Debit, Mastercard Debit, and any other methods which may be clearly advertised on the site from time to time. Payment will be debited and cleared from your account upon completion of the packing of your order by Thumbeline. You confirm that the credit/debit card that is being used is yours or that you have been specifically authorized by the owner of the credit/debit card to use it. All credit/debit card holders are subject to validation checks and authorization by the card issuer.

 If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorize payment to Thumbeline, we will not be liable for any delay or non-delivery. Occasionally, high demand causes us to run out of certain items. If we don't have an item that you have ordered in stock, we'll notify you by email immediately.

 Sometimes an item is out of stock and not expected to come back in stock, so we must cancel the item. In this case, if you paid with a credit card, we will not charge you for the item or any taxes, shipping or handling charges.

 Sales tax is charged only to customers in the state of California.

 

Shipping Policy

Orders placed Monday-Friday before 4 PM PST will begin processing that day, excluding holidays, and will ship within 48 hours pending availability and credit verification. All orders placed after 4 PM PST will begin processing the next business day, and ship within 2-3 days. Orders placed on Friday after 5 PM EST will begin processing on the following Monday.  Transit times do not include Saturday, Sunday or holidays.  Estimated delivery times are to be used as a guide only and do not take into account possible delays caused by payment authorization.

 We may use UPS for delivery, and therefore are unable to deliver to APO/FPO addresses, as well as P.O. Boxes.  Ground shipping is not available for Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico (only 2 day or standard next day service). We do not offer weekend delivery.

If you decide to refuse any shipments from Thumbeline, you are responsible for the original shipping charges to you and any other charges incurred on the package (on both the original and the return shipments) and the cost of returning the package to Thumbeline.  This amount will be subtracted from your merchandise credit.

Prices displayed on the website are exclusive of taxes. When you proceed to purchase your order, sales tax will be calculated on the total merchandise value and shipping charges, and displayed on the Order Summary page.

Orders are shipped via UPS or USPS.  We offer free ground shipping for merchandise totaling $150.00 and up.  Other shipping options will be shown at time of checkout.

International orders are shipped via USPS International Priority or UPS; available options will be shown at checkout.  All taxes, csutoms duties and charges are the responsibility of the customer.  Rates are calculated by estimated weight and may vary slightly from actual weight; any difference in shipping costs will not be refunded to customer.  

Insurance and Delivery

Thumbeline insures each purchase during the time it is in transit until it is delivered to your specified delivery address. We require a signature for any goods delivered, at which point responsibility for your purchased goods passes to you. If you have specified a recipient who is not you for delivery purposes (for example as a gift) then you accept that evidence of a signature by them (or at that delivery address) is evidence of delivery and fulfillment by Thumbeline and transfer of responsibility in the same way.

International deliveries: Any packages lost in transit are not the responsibility of Thumbeline.

 

Return Policy

Returns are accepted for store credit/exchange. Returns must be made within 30 days of order date and they must be pre-authorized by email (please reach us at mail@thumbeline.com) prior to sending merchandise back, no exceptions. Items must be returned new, unused and in its original packaging with all tags still attached. Returns that are damaged, soiled or altered will not be accepted.  Please note you are responsible for the cost of shipping merchandise back to us. Once we have received your return we will process store credit/exchange within 2 business days.

 Please Note: Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.  Any duties or fees for international returns billed to us by your carrier will be deducted from the store credit amount issued.

Not returnable at any time: underwear, swimwear, antique jewelry and clothing, pierced earrings. 

 All discounted/sale merchandise is final sale-no returns, exchanges or store credit given.

Sale Price Adjustments

Thumbeline will offer a sale price adjustment on merchandise purchased up to 7 days prior to the start date of a sale or promotion.  The exact style, size and color of an item must be available for purchase at the time your request is made before any adjustment in the sale price can be approved.  All approved sale price adjustments will be applied to your Thumbeline account in the form of a store credit which will be valid for 6 months.  Please note that we are unable to provide price adjustments on items originally purchased in a sale or any special promotion items that are temporarily reduced in price.  Price adjustments are not permitted on already discounted merchandise.

 

Gift Returns

If you have received an item from Thumbeline as a gift you can exchange it for a store credit to your Thumbeline account (you will need to be registered with us).  This allows you to exchange your unwanted gift for another item by using this credit to place a new order online.  Please be aware that you will be required to pay any difference in cost and any additional shipping, taxes and import duties.  Any unused credit will remain in your account until your next purchase.

Order Cancellation

We do not guarantee cancellation of orders and cannot honor all cancellation requests.  If you contact us as mail@thumbeline before your order has shipped we may intercept the order and issue a store credit for future use.  If Thumbeline agrees to cancel an order, a restocking fee equal to 10% of the total merchandise value will be applied.  We reserve the right not to accept future orders from you.
